SHAME as IEBC official arraigned in court for trying to ALTER RESULTS

A senior officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission -IEBC based in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County who was caught at a cybercafé trying to alter the election results in her constituency was today arraigned in a Kitale court.

Joyce Namunyak, who was the returning Officer of Kwanza Constituency, was accused that on March 5th this year at a cybercafé in Kitale she was caught red-handed altering the parliamentary results.

The court heard that the returning officer, who was based at KAG church in Endebes Township within Trans Nzoia County, went away with the provisional results and tried to change them to favor her preferred candidate.

The court further heard that Joyce intentionally and willingly did that since as a member of IEBC, she perfectly understood the code and conducts of the commission.

She denied the charges and the hearing was set for another time.
