Embassy ‘inciting’ Kenyans with security advisories

United States embassy has warned American citizens to be cautious as the Supreme Court gets ready to rule on the presidential petition. This warning, though meant to caution US citizens, has the potential to spark tension among Kenyans.
Since we voted, we have lived in harmony and no cases of violence have been reported. It is wrong for the embassy to create unnecessary tension among Kenyans who have lived peacefully even after elections.
Kenyans have been preaching peace while awaiting the Supreme Court ruling. I have not witnessed any people threatening violence if the court rules against their expectations.
Let everybody know that we are advocating for peace and harmony among all communities.
Let’s ensure that we are not influenced by anything to cause violence. Let’s avoid what happened in 2007. We have not healed.
I believe we have learnt from what happened and we are ready to move forward for the good of our country.
Those talking about violence should start preaching peace. We have said that this country is greater than any individual. Let peace prevail.
