After President elect Uhuru Kenyatta and his entire Jubilee team criss-crossed the country and made a lot of promises to various groups, some Muslim Clerics at the Coast feel it is now time for them to deliver on their promises.
The Clerics have called on President elect Uhuru Kenyatta to put politics aside and embrace every corner of this country. They warned Uhuru from segregating the Coastal region in his development agenda by the fact that Coast was generally Raila Odinga’s CORD stronghold.
During his campaigns, President elect Uhuru Kenyatta was endorsed by many Muslim religious groups with the hope that he will protect their interests since his counterpart Raila failed to honour his promises after 2007 despite getting half of the Government.
Muslims have now urged President Uhuru Kenyatta not to disappoint them but protect their rights and freedoms saying that previous regimes have been unfair to them.
