It seems Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s journey to State House has received a jet propulsion, after a new poll conducted by Ipsos Synovate showed that the PM will trounce Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta with a big margin in Mombasa County, if elections were to be held today.
According to the poll, CORD’s supremo Raila Odinga will garner 70 percent of the total votes, while Uhuru Kenyatta will only manage 17 percent. Peter Kenneth of Kenya National Congress will come third with 3 percent with Musalia Mudavadi and Martha Karua tying at 1 percent.
The percentage of undecided voters was low at 1 percent, meaning almost all residents have already made up their mind on whom they want to be President.
The survey, which was conducted through face-to- face interviews with 887 registered voters in the county, was commissioned by the Standard Group and conducted between February 6 and 9.
