The suspects are being held at Oyugis Police Station. Rachuonyo South OCPD Naomi Ichami said they would be arraigned in court facing charges of perpetrating violence.
“We are going to take this matter seriously to curb cases of political violence before and after the next General Election. We want these suspects to serve as examples to others,” Ms Ichami said.
She said the arrest would help in their investigations into the incident.
The arrest came following a Tuesday incident in which three people were seriously injured and are admitted to Matata Hospital, Oyugis town.
Chaos occurred when youths hurled stones at a gathering convened by Homa Bay ODM gubernatorial candidate Cyprian Awiti among others.
