Police also recovered four pistols at the scene near the GSU headquarters along Thika superhighway during the 9pm incident.
Starehe OCPD Samuel Anampiu said the suspects were part of a gang that has been terrorising residents of Ruaraka and Kasarani areas.
“They had planned to carry out robberies in Roster but after realising our officers had gotten wind of their plans, they tried to escape but the officers gunned them down,” he told Nation.
The bodies of the suspects were taken to the City Mortuary. A Toyota salon car (Registration number KBN 535M) that was being used by the suspects was also recovered as well as other documents including ATM cards.
