Barely hours after Prime Minister Raila Odinga rubbished yesterday’s opinion polls by Ipsos Synovate, Restore and Build Kenya (RBK) Presidential hopeful James Ole Kiyiapi has dismissed the polls, saying they are aimed to derail the right of Kenyans to choose leaders of their choice.
Speaking in Migori County on Friday, Kiyiapi claimed the pollsters have been recruited to sway the opinion of Kenyans to believe that only a certain candidate was destined to win the Presidency in the March 4th general election.
“The voters must rise and reject these dark forces of impunity determined to roll back the gains made in the country,” Kiyiapi said.
Kiyiapi said the behavior of pollsters was calculated to change the perception of Kenyans about the popularity ratings of the eight candidates in the race.
“We must come out in large numbers and vote wisely, otherwise we may be doomed as a country,” he said.
“The latest opinion poll is a continuation of the fight by merchants of the status quo to influence the voting pattern of Kenyans,” he added.
