A group of Kenyans in Germany today held a peacefuldemonstration outside a discotheque in Berlin where aKenyan man was seriously injured in a violent attack on Sunday that has been characterized as racially instigated.
40-year-old Jimmy C. (pictured below) was brutally beaten up by a group of three men inside the Q-Dorf Club in Berlin, Germany where he worked. The men also smashed a bottle into his face, leaving him with serious bruises and cuts on his face and right eye. The group also issued racial insults to Jimmy and fled the scene after police were called. Jimmy is hospitalized at a Berlin hospital and his attackers are yet to be arrested

Today’s demonstration was meant to demand for the police to conduct through investigations by the police and apprehend the perpetrators, and as a call to end racism in the country. “We held the demo in solidarity with Jimmy C. against the racist attack on Sunday,” Sammy Irungu, one of the Kenyans who attended thedemonstration said.
A few Berlin politicians joined the Kenyans in the protest.
