Drama unraveled at a village in Kisii County after a woman who is alleged to have assaulted a foster child, was attacked by irate villagers who almost killed her. The woman is at the moment hospitalized at Nyamira Hospital where she is nursing her wounds.According to residents of Nyakongo village the woman has been mistreating her step children since she was entrusted to them by her husband who works in Nairobi. The woman uses the children to do her chores while she lazies around and gossips with anyone who cares to listen.
That fateful afternoon one of her foster children had been sent to pick firewood and delayed. The woman locked her in the house on her return and punished her with a red hot spoon on her thighs.
Neighbors who heard the girl’s screams rushed to the house where they caught her red handed burning her.
An irate mob which was growing outside her house stormed into the house and beat her severely before police arrived saving her.
