The two were armed with a pistol and other weapons. Mutuku and Katete were also convicted with robbing Januaries Nzioka of Sh16,000 and Yvonne Nduku of Sh9,800 on the same day at Mnazi Mmoja Bar.
They shot Nzioka in the stomach when he attempted to resist the robbery. Charles Murage, Alex Muthama, and Sammy Kakee were acquited of the charges.
