Six female passengers who had boarded a Mololine shuttle were gang raped when thugs posing as fellow passengers turned against them.
The ladies had boarded the shuttle headed to Nakuru from Nairobi on Sunday evening in the company of three men who looked like normal passengers.
The journey started off well however thing went sour all over a sudden when they reached the road after Naivasha.
The three male passengers drew guns and knives and ordered the driver to stop. They took over the car which they drove to a forest. They tied the ladies with ropes on their hands and clothes staffed up their mouths to prevent them from making noise.
After that they raped them one by one throughout the night. The thugs stole all their belongings and let them for dead. The driver was beaten seriously as he tried to show some resistance.
It was not until the morning that they were discovered by area residents and taken to the Narok District hospital.
Police have launched the investigations on the incidence and are blaming Mololine shuttle for failing to establish that passengers had carried guns into the vehicle.
This happened just two months after another Mololine shuttle was carjacked and passengers lost all their belongings.
