FERDINAND Waititu to lose MINISTERIAL post as he denies charges

Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu has this morning denied incitement and hate speech charges leveled against him before a Nairobi court.
Waititu who has been evading police arrest for the last two days appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Kibiwott to answer incitement to violence charges.
His lawyer Evans Ondieki accompanied the controversial lawmaker.

The ‘stone thrower MP’  will spend tonight in police custody after office of Director Public Prosecutions opposed his release on bail saying the MP is a repeat offender and might abscond.

Waititu is also due to appear before Judge Isaac Lenaola for breaching an undertaking not to commit another offence in a previous incitement case.

As per the Constitution of Kenya, Waititu who is also the Water Assistant Minister is supposed to relinquish his ministerial post since he has been charged in a court of law.
The case will be heard on November 27.
