A Luo man is recuperating at New Nyanza hospital after his wife circumcised him in his sleep apparently due to his cheating behavior. A close friend of the family told the media that the man is known to be a womanizer and has been caught by his wife on several occasions but never leaves the old habit.
In a move to stop the man’s behaviors his wife had approached him prior and suggested that they visit a clinic for circumcision. The man refused the procedure to be performed on him.
“Omera kama hunipendi vile nilivyo, basi ni wewe utaondoka….” (Omera if you do not love me the way I am then you will leave …..)
On the night of the incident, the man came home stupor drank at about mid night and blacked out on the sofa seat. His wife took the opportunity to teach him a lesson and picked the sharpest kitchen knife in the house.
In pain and panic the man woke up bleeding from his genitals as his wife had cut some part of his genitals. Neighbors who responded to the distress call rushed him to New Nyanza hospital where he underwent corrective surgery.
