Citizen Radio’s Waweru Mburu was laid to rest on Friday, October 7, at his Punda Milia farm in Maragua constituency.

The veteran radio journalist who was eyeing a political seat in 2017, died at the MP Shah hospital on Wednesday, September 28 following a long battle with cancer.

A somber mood covered Maragua and lots of flashbacks were shared at the departed Waweru Mburu’s residence as he was being laid to rest.

The funeral service was held at Murang’a Teacher’s College and saw the who is who in the media attend and share how Mburu played a big role in their careers.
