.... the party this year as the country heads for elections. Kambi intends to vie for the Kilifi Governor’s seat next year. Since losing his Cabinet position, he has been trying to resurrect his political career.
Kambi was sacked from Cabinet last year after he was implicated in a multibillion National Social and Security Fund (NSSF) scandal.
The defection of Kambi is a big blow to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, who have been trying to woo Coast residents to support the Jubilee Government in 2017.
