According to a report on the Daily Nation, Ruto first held a meeting to discuss Eugene Wamalwa’s candidacy in May.
“Ruto met the Nairobi County Assembly Jubilee leadership at his office two months ago to discuss ways of mobilising support for Eugene Wamalwa,” the paper reported on Thursday, August 4.
The meeting held in Ruto’s office, the paper reported, was attended by Deputy Minority Leader Patrick Ngaruiya, Minority Whip Hashim Kamau, Deputy Minority Whip Michael Wainaina and MCA Millicent Mugadi.
