“I have heard rumors that somebody put a gun to my head to decide the case in some way. That was just gossip. It didn’t happen. Even if it happened, what about the heads of the other five judges? We were not intimidated or let me say I wasn’t,”Mutunga said as reported by the Standard.
He revealed that he was going write a book detailing the intrigues of the 2013 Presidential petition ruling and what transpired behind the curtains that led to them upholding Uhuru’s election as 4th President of Kenya.

“I know everyone wants to know what happened during the decision of that Presidential petition. I am going to write about it. I am reflecting on it because there are certain things that happened, particularly the fact that we didn’t finish the scrutiny, which would have been very helpful. We would also have explained our judgment in more detail,” he added.
