Kenyans expected Mama Lucy Kibaki's grave to be modern decorated with expensive tiles as is the case seen in many burials of the super rich. However, that was not the case, she was buried in a simple African traditional grave.
The burial which took place last Saturday at Othaya Approved School was graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta, former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, and other high profile guests.
Photos were however taken at the burial by different entities e.g. Presidential Press Service and shared for the public to see how Lucy was buried.
Her grave was not cemented like many would have imagined, it was just a typical traditional African grave which was filled with soil to the brim.
