Nakumatt became the first business to suffer substantially after Westlands Nakumatt Ukay was heavily flooded and products were washed away from shelves. The parking lot was also not spared as vehicle became submerged.
The company, which is the largest retail outlet in the country has now been forced to shut the store indefinitely with customers referred to the Nakumatt Highridge Supermarket .
