Students from Moi University have been warned against ki'ssing due to an outbreak of Hepatitis B, which has seen several students admitted at Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret after testing positive to the disease.

Hepatitis B is an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) which affects the liver.

It’s transmitted through infected body fluids and that’s why students have been warned against kissing.

“We were told that public health officers from this area are working round the clock to know the root cause of this, But we are being adviced even on WhatsApp groups to avoid ki'ssing and exchanging body fluids,” A third year political science student from Moi University said in an interview with a local daily.

So, next time you ki'ss a student from Moi University, know that you are endangering your life.
