35-year old Caroline Wanjiru is reported to have doused herself and her two children with petrol after locking all the doors and windows to her house.
Wanjiru is said to have sent a boda boda rider for the petrol that she used before locking all the possible entrance and setting her house ablaze.
Fire brigades officers, who arrived the scene shortly after, managed to access the room where the woman and the children had been burnt beyond recognition. The officers came across a suicide note the woman addressed to her husband.
