In this particular case the individual was Uhuru Kenyatta and the occasion was Ghana’s independence celebrations. As the celebrations were done and people headed off, Uhuru Kenyatta and the Guinea Bissau’s Jose Mario Vaz were left stranded at the venue in the sun waiting for their vehicles.
The situation was so odd that former Ghana president Jerry Rawlings had to step in and keep a clearly frustrated Uhuru Kenyatta company.
