Speaking on Wednesday, EACC officials familiar with the raid on Waiguru’s home and those of other Ministry and NYS officials said that their investigations over the scandals in the Devolution Ministry had extended to the families and relatives of those indicted.
The EACC officials noted that they want to know if Waiguru’s children and relatives and those of other Ministry officials who have been indicted because of corruption were involved in the supply of goods and services to NYS for the projects under probe.
The decision to investigate immediate family members to Anne Waiguru and others was reached at after it emerged that some of them were awarded tenders to supply goods and services at NYS that led to the loss of billions of shillings through inflated costs.
