“They had parked a car outside the compound and three of the thugs were already in the compound trying to break into the house” Gigiri OCPD Vitalis Otieno said.
"The officers shot back and managed to fatally injure him and the other one who was in the car. On hearing the gunshots from outside, the thugs who were in the compound tried to escape as they fired using the homemade gun” he added.
