When Obama landed in Kenya last Friday, 8 year old Joan Wamaitha, who is an orphan from Mama Ngina Children’s home, was the first to receive the world’s most powerful man in Kenyan soil.

Obama hugged the little girl, spent a few minutes chatting with her and received the bouquet of flowers she presented to him.

According to her teachers, the Standard One pupil at Mariakani Primary School, is one of the brightest pupils in her school.
