YOU WON'T believe what has become of LEONARD MAMBO MBOTELA after retiring from KBC

After over 30 years as a broad-caster, legendary Kenyan radio personality, Leonard Mambo Mbotela of the “Jee Huu ni Ungwana” fame, has gone down the drain and is now a mitumba seller in Gikomba market.

According to sources, the deep-voiced broadcaster, who rubbed shoulders with the high and mighty during his long media career, is now just a normal citizen on the streets and he has even shifted to the nearby Shauri Moyo Estate.

Sources indicate that despite his big name and popular programme, he was poorly paid at KBC and he just worked because of his huge passion for the job. Upon retirement, they treated him like a stray dog and his retirement package was nothing to write home about.

But being a hard-working man, Leornard has adapted to life as a normal citizen and accepted his awful situation. However, he is regularly over-heard lamenting how Kenyan media made him a poor millionaire because his big name did not translate to wealth. Other sources indicate that he lives under the mercies of his fans with some offering to pay his rent.

This is sad and maybe the government should reward him for his service to this beloved nation,Kenya.
