Sheikh Amir alias Mahboob was on Friday named the de facto leader of Masjid Shuhadaa mosque. Reading from Makaburi’s playbook, Mahboob immediately declared “total war against non-Muslims”. This is hardly some few days when Makaburi the controversial radical Muslim was gunned down by unknown suspects.
The cleric, believed to enjoy support from majority of radical youth who worship at the mosque, proved that he would live to the ideologies of Makaburi and his predecessor Sheikh Aboud Rogo. His audience was well pleased, applauding at every opportunity.

Makaburi's sentiments proved that not the police or their guns could stop him from carrying his mandate and achieving his intended mission.
The People newspaper is reporting that the message he delivered on Friday is now a matter of police investigations. “Yes we got the recording of the sermon and are analysing it. We are also profiling the cleric before we take action,”  said Mombasa County Commissioner Nelson Marwa.
Speaking about Makaburi’s killing, Sheikh Mahboob told the youth who were planning on staging protests to wait for a “bigger and bitter revenge”.

As the senator’s documents were being scanned, Abdi Haji Mohammed, who is the husband to Mandera County Woman Representative Amina Hassan Ahmed was being charged in court for being in illegal possession of over 40 passports. Mohammed appeared in court to plead to the charges of holding the documents, which the police said were discovered at Islamia House during the operation to flush out illegal immigrants. The prosecution told Senior Principal Magistrate Lucy Mbugua that Mohammed was arrested after he failed to account for the passports. Wednesday, Senator Bule called a press conference at Parliament Buildings during which he confirmed the Juja Road incident. “I urge the Standing Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations to intervene and ensure that no Kenyan is victimised on the basis of their ethnic or religious background.” The two were later released.
