Ex-Kibaki Security Adviser, Esau Kioni Warns President Uhuru's Team

Former President Kibaki’s security adviser and coordinator Esau Kioni has cautioned Uhuru Kenyatta’s advisers against misleading the President. Kioni said it is very wrong to mislead the President to the point that he “swallows his words”.

Speaking in Othaya on Sunday, Kioni said it is very unfortunate that the right procedure was not followed in the recent parastatal appointments. Uhuru was forced to revoke the appointment of former presidential candidate Abduba Dida.

Kioni said before Uhuru reads out any name publicly, the names should pass through the Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua, the NIS and the Attorney General.
