President Uhuru Mourns The Death of Joseph Munga, Son of Equity Bank Founder Peter Munga

President Uhuru Kenyatta today mourned Joseph Munga, son of visionary banker and entrepreneur Peter Munga, who died at a hospital in Nairobi after an accident.

The President said with the passing on of Joseph, at the tender age of 38 years, death has cut short the bright future of a promising young man who contributedimmensely to nation building.

He described the late Joseph Tharuma Munga, a software engineer, as anentrepreneur per excellence who was committed to development of scholarship.

As testimony of his business acumen, President Kenyatta noted, the late Joseph Munga founded Pioneer International University in Nairobi where he served as Deputy Vice Chancellor. The President observed that the late Joseph Munga was also a Deputy Director of the Pioneer Group of Schools.

“The late Joseph Tharuma Munga was kind, honest and hardworking. Indeed, his death is a very big blow to his family, relatives and friends who loved him dearly,” President Kenyatta said.

President Kenyatta prayed to God to give the late Joseph Munga’s family, relatives and friends solace and strength to bear the loss. The late Joseph Mungaleaves behind a wife and two children.
