Former Juja MP George Thuo collapses in a Thika club, dies

Former Juja MP and government chief whip George Thuo is dead.He reportedly collapsed while having drinks with his childhood friends who were mainly former classmates at a Thika club on Sunday and was later pronounced dead.The Late Thuo had called them and offered to buy them drinks.Reports indicate that he passed on at around 10pm moments after he collapsed at Club Porkies in Thika town.

The Late Thuo had complained of fever like high temperatures and he rushed to his car to drop his sweater before returning to join his friends.It was a few minutes later that he collapsed.He was rushed to Thika Nursing Home where efforts to resuscitate him began. Shortly afterwards, he was pronounced dead.

His body was later moved to the Lee Funeral Home.Mr Thuo served as Juja MP from 2007 up to 2010 when he lost his Parliamentary seat in a by-election after a court nullified the 2007 poll results over irregularities.

Mr Thuo was also known for his involvement in City Hoppa, an urban transport company.
