Primary School Boy Busts Mothér With Anothér Man In Nakuru

A woman who fled her matrimonial home after getting caught red handed with another man faces crisis because she is unable to explain to her parents why she can’t go back to her husband.

For the two months, her folks have been patiently waiting for her to go back to her home, but she has not given any reasons. A neighbour who frequently visits the home intimidated that she told her parents that they had discussed with her husband to have a “me time” away from each other for a while.

Trouble started in this Chesingorwet village, Olenguruone in Nakuru County, when Judy’s twin sons arrived from school earlier on the fateful day to find the door locked from inside. After knocking without any response, Dennis, the active of the two boys, decided to get in through the window. But his mother reacted harshly, asking what he wanted in the house.

By the time he had managed to get into the house, his panicked mother had managed to dress herself. Unfortunately, although her clandestine lover was covered, part of his leg was exposed.

OVERHEARD

“I have seen Kibiwott’s leg in our bedroom!” he began shouting referring to his nickname. Kibiwott is fairly known in the village because he owns several tractors.

Their mother’s plea to have the boys take tea in the sitting room fell on deaf ears. Dennis, a Class Five pupil at a local day school, rushed to his grandmother’s house some seven hundred metres away and borrowed her phone, saying he had an urgent message for his dad.

He was given the phone, and went some paces away to make a call to his dad who was away in Tenwek Mission Hospital taking care of his hospitalised stepbrother. The grandmother overheard the conversation between the two as the boy told his dad, “I saw Kibiwott’s brown legs.”

By evening the same day, the story had spread across the whole village.

Dennis did not go back home, he stayed with his grandmother till the following day when his father came back from the hospital as he had promised on the phone. But his wife had packed and left at dawn to her parents’ home without notice.

BIRDS IN THE FOREST

When the husband arrived, he did not throw tantrums as would have been expected. He approached the oldest man in the village who had obviously heard about the saga.

“Don’t bother confronting Kibiwott. And don’t go to your wife’s home to try and bring her back. Are you the one who chased her away? Let her stay there as long as she wants. There are many birds in the forest, aren’t there? Get a new bird!” he was duly advised.

But the man ruled out scouting for another wife, saying he was a dedicated Christian.

Two months down the line, villagers are still waiting to see what his estranged wife’s next step will be, with pressure mounting on her parents to show her the door.
