It was alleged that the two got into a fight and as a result Shebesh was apparently nursing a broken arm.
The Star reports that Sonko confirmed the incident but downplayed it asking people to keep off his private life.
According to the Newspaper, the senator also confirmed that Shebesh had reported him to the Coalition of Violence Against Women (Covaw) lobby group that has since communicated with him.
He however claims that Shebesh was the one who assaulted him and he plans to seek legal redress in due course.
The Star also reports that the Senator went on to attack the top leadership of Covaw for allegedly condemning and threatening to take legal action against him. These were the Senator’s words,
“I have been told that she (Shebesh) has reported the matter to Kilimani Police Station, but time will tell the truth. Men are being battered in silence but the so called Covaw which is composed of divorcees has the tenacity to attack men wherever they feel one of their own has been mishandled,”
Efforts of the Star to contact Shebesh on the matter however proved futile because her phone went unanswered so no one really knows her side of the story.
Keep in mind that this incident comes even before Police are done investigating the scuffle between Shebesh and Kidero in which each one of them claims was assaulted by the other.
