Manchester United manager David Moyes said he has had talks with winger Ashley Young over the disgraceful simulation carried out by the England international on Saturday in the side’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Ashley Young Simulated a Bizarre Fall at Old Trafford on Saturday and Got a Yellow Card.

Young was booked for tumbling over after a challenge by Palace’s Kagisho Dikgacoi, who was later dismissed when the pair clashed again later in the first-half.

Referee John Moss booked the England international for the first incident- replay suggested he had initiated the contact with Dikgacoi- but later won a penalty for the hosts as Palace were reduced to ten men.

Speaking ahead of United’s Champions League clash against Bayern Leverkusen, Moyes said he would not tolerate diving from his players and called for retrospective action to help punish players who dive.

“I have spoken to him (Young) privately. Referee got the decision right. But I can’t promise that it won’t happen again with Young,” said the Scot.

“It is really difficult at times. Moving from Everton to Manchester United doesn’t change my view on that.

“I have said for many years diving is something we should have retrospective video for. That would help referees no end.”

The Football Association however expects any changes to the rules, including diving, to come from theworld football governing body Fifa.
