International Criminal Court (ICC) has granted deputy President, William Ruto, permission to travel back to Kenya for a week following the Westgate massacre. William Ruto, through his lead lawyer Karim Khan had earlier requested the adjournment of his trial so that he can return to Kenya to deal with Westgate issue that has seriously damaged our national security.
ICC’s trial Chamber judges gave into demands of Mr. Ruto for him to be allowed to be with other Kenyans saving and consoling the affected.
However, Ruto’s trial will continue in the Trial Chambers during the entire week that he will be absent.
