The inaugural OLX Social media awards 2013 were finally held yesterday; a grand event that saw social media users attend a gala dinner at the Laico Regency. The awards were created as a platform to appreciate Kenya’s social media users i.e corporates, individuals, media personalities or any Kenyan that uses social media to influence positively.
Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill carried the day after bagging three awards; Most Influential Facebook Personality, Best Social media News Channel of the year and Overall Social Media Personality of the year. President Uhuru Kenyatta was also given a standing ovation and awarded under a special category for supporting the awards.
