The high school teacher in New Mexico is accused of raping her male student in her classroom.
Jennifer Vigil, 31, was arrested Tuesday after the student told police he was forced into having sex with his teacher at the Pojoaque Valley High School in Santa Fe. Vigil maintains that the sex was consensual, but the student disagreed he claimed that the teacher forced him to have sex after she locked the door of the classroom and he was unable to leave.
According to the student, his teacher performed oral sex on him. The student took a picture of the sex act with his cellphone. He only consented to sex because Vigil locked the doors and he felt pressured into doing so, according to police. Vigil apparently claims the student had requested sexual favors, and that he is an adult by law.
“The teacher had no business having sex with her student. If a student asks for sex in return for a good mark the teacher must turn it down, or she risks being arrested, and risks loosing her livelihood over it,” Kelley Graham, 46, of Santa Fe,New Mexico told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the teacher’s alleged rape of her student in her classroom.
Vigil was arrested and is being held in Santa Fe county jail.
