His widow Nduku confirmed her departed husband will be laid to rest at their Utangwa village home on Thursday May 9, 2013.
She said a memorial service will be held at Milimani AIC church on Wednesday before the body is transported for its final resting the next day.
This brings to an end a simmering uncertainty over where the late Mutula will be buried with a section of the family suggesting Mbooni and his Kwa Kyelu ranch home where he passed on last Saturday.
A source close to the family said the late Mutula had left a will that he wrote twenty years indicating that he be buried at Mbooni.
His brother Muendo had insisted the late Mutula had told him he should be buried next to the graves of their father, mother and grandmother.
The chairman of the family Jeremiah Muthembwa announced on Friday that burial plans for the of the late Mutula at Mbooni have started in harness.
