Makueni Senatorial By-Election Set for July 22nd...KETHI KILONZO vs HARUN MWAU

The Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that the Makueni senatorial by-elections will be held on July 22, 2013. The by-election follows the death on April 27th of then-senator Mutula Kilonzo.

Political parties are expected to have nominated their candidates by June 3rd. Kethi Kilonzo, the late senator’s daughter, has been courted by CORD to run for the seat and her biggest rival will be Harun Mwau.
