Kenyan Activist Boniface Mwangi Arrested for Shouting Down Atwoli at Labor Day Festivities

Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi was today roughed up and arrested for shouting down COTU boss Francis Atwoli at a Labor Day event at Uhuru Park. He is being held at Parliament Police Station.

Boniface has strongly criticized Atwoli for supporting MPs’ move to increase their salaries and had yesterday promised to deliver his displeasure at the Labor Day. “Tomorrow, 9am, Atwoli will be at Uhuru Park to celebrate Labour Day. I will be there to tell him he is wrong on MP’s perks,” said Boniface earlier yesterday through his twitter account.
