The woman, who is in her late 20s, is reported to have secretly transferred the points to her phone when her boyfriend had stepped out to purchase some household items.
Unfortunately for her, there was a delay by the mobile telephone operator in delivering a message to the man’s phone that the bonga point transfer had been successful. Soon the officer came back and for the close to three hours the two lovebirds spent, no message came through.
Night shift
The two could, however, not spend the night together since the officer was on night shift. And at around 5pm, the junior officer, was spotted seeing her off as they held each other’s hands.
Later at night, he received a message alert informing him that he had successfully transferred 3,000 bonga points to his girlfriend’s number.
This annoyed him because he had been saving his bonga points to enable him buy a smart phone he had desired for ages a Samsung Galaxy.
The thought of using a mulika mwizi as his other colleagues, who owned more sophisticated gadgets, made fun of him, infuriated him even further.
He conceded that he had been severely punished by his woman but swore that he was going to get his points back.
Upon consulting his friends who advised him on a strategy to get back his points, he kept communicating with her as if nothing had gone wrong.
Gift
It was only after a couple of days that he invited her over, once again, promising to surprise her with a gift.
The unsuspecting girl could not wait for the day to end so that she could close her Mpesa business in anticipation for her ‘gift’.
What she received on arrival is beyond her imagination. The furious cop gave her a thorough thrashing before hauling her into a police cell.
He was heard lashing out at her, “Kama unaweza iba bonga points, nini ingine hutaniibia? Mwizi wewe! (If you can steal my bonga points, what else can’t you steal from me, thief)!”
The cop gave her a stern warning and threatened her with serious consequences, should she ever set her feet in his house.
No charge was leveled against her. She was simply forced to return the points before being set free.
