Amani Coalition presidential candidate Minister Musalia Mudavadi, who is currently a distant third in the running for Kenya’s fourth president with results from 68 out of 291 constituencies still left to be counted, has conceded defeat.Mudavadi, while issuing his "official statement", thanked Kenyans who voted for him and pledged to work with whoever between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila is elected president.
Mudavadi also congratulated the politicians who have been elected into different political seats through the Amani Coalition.
He also called on Kenyans to remain calm as they await the final announcement on the presidential winner, adding that he has spoken to Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga and urged them to help manage the emotions of their supporters for the sake of peace regardless of the outcome of the election.
Another presidential candidate, Peter Kenneth of the Eagle Alliance also conceded defeat on Tuesday and is currently fourth in the vote tally.-mwakilishi
