Joel Onyancha (TNA) and Simon Ogari (ODM) have been re- elected for parliamemtary seats in Bomachoge Borabu and Bomachoge Chache constituencies respectively.

Onyancha who lost to Ogari in the 2009 by-election, following an election petition challenging his election in 2007, garnered 11,198 votes to win a ticket to parliament in the newly created constituency following the split of Bomachoge into two.

She was closely followed by ODM’s Peter Kimori who polled 10,577 votes. Ford People’s Albert Nyaundi came in third with 9,997 votes. Controversy surrounded vote tallying at Magena High school following delays in submission of ballot boxes.

Bomachoge Borabu constituency returning officer Gilbert Serem attributed delays to the overwhelming number of candidates vying for various elective posts with some county assembly wards having up to 19 candidates.

In Bomachoge Chache, Communication assistant minister Simon Ogari wo with 11,385 votes against his closest challenger, Amos Andama (TNA) with 3,113 votes.

In South Mugirango, trade assistant minister Manson Nyamweya looked on course to recapture the seat he won in the 2010 by election.
