With 2 days remaining to March 4th poll, Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has requested the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) to include him in the list of nominees who will be nominated after the Monday hotly contested poll.
Mr Kalonzo, who is CORD’s Presidential running mate, is listed number one in Wiper Party’s list for the National Assembly seats. Others listed for parliamentary nominations are Bishop Robert Mutemi, Ms Hellen Ndeti, Ms Gideon Ndambuki and Sammy Mbuva among others.
Others big shots, who have requested to be included in the list of nominees is NARC party leader Mrs Ngilu who is listed at the top for Senatorial nomination.Narc chairman Fidelis Nguli is also listed number one among those seconded for nomination to the National Assembly.
Sources said Kalonzo and Ngilu went to the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) last week, requesting the IEBC to revise the list and include their names in the list.
This may sound ironical to Kalonzo, who is on record saying CORD will out rightly form the government in round one.
Is Kalonzo sensing defeat on Monday's poll?
