Former Siakago MP Justin Muturi has been elected Speaker of the National Assembly. His would-be Jubilee Rival Mohamed Abdikadir steeped down in his favour after negotiations within Jubilee in the Naivasha retreat.
He was competing with former Speaker Kenneth Marende of the CORD coalition.
Justin Muturi garnered 219 votes against Cord's Kenneth Marende's 129 votes to be elected Speaker of the new National Assembly.
