The Amani alliance now says that it is ready to workwith either Jubilee or CORD coalitions on condition that they get a share of various positions in the senate and parliament.

This came as details emerged that Amani was ready to support Jubilee for the seat of House Speaker on condition that they got the deputy.

During a two day bonding retreat for newly elected Mps, Senators and Governors the alliance expressed its willingness to work with the coalition in government.

Addressing the press Kioni said that they would welcome the idea of getting the post of deputy speaker for parliament adding that talks should be held in the open.

“There are various positions on offer including senate and parliament speakers and chairmen of various committees and we are ready to discuss this with any coalition,”

He said that the retreat was meant to address which coalition to work with adding that no position had been taken yet.

On his part, Mumias East Mp-elect Ben Washiali said that they would only support a coalition that had something to offer in return.

He warned CORD and Jubilee from ignoring Amani coalition saying that they had numbers to overturn things in parliament.

“This is time to scratch my back I scratch yours as some issues in parliament will require the two-third majority,” he said.

Moyale Mp-elect Roba Duba who is been fronted for the post of deputy house speaker said that they were ready for a give and take exercise.

“Politics is all about numbers and we are engaging other coalitions so that we can get the right people for the house speaker and the deputy,” he said.

“We have decided to know each other, audit the elections and decide the way forward for the alliance,” he said.
