In Voi, twelve people died after a bus and trailer collided. The dead include 10 men and two women. Both drivers also died. Fourteen other people were injured and were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The two vehicles were reportedly speeding in different directions when the accident occurred.
The second accident involving a matatu tour guide in Vipingo area in Kilifi claimed five lives.
Traffic Commnandant Samwel Kimaru said twelve people were critically injured in the Saturday morning grisly accident.
“Twelve people were injured and are admitted in hospital in serious condition. We are investigating the accident to establish the cause”, said Kimaru.
