Ten people died and 16 families were left homeless in separate incidents in different parts of the country over the weekend.
Though most were accidents, a fire also left a trail of destruction.
In Narok, four people died on the spot in the crash involving a bus and a pick-up truck.
The Kenya Red Cross reported on its Twitter account that 20 people were also injured in the accident and rushed to nearby hospitals.
Another accident in Mombasa claimed the life of one person and injured four others at Kibarani area along Mombasa - Nairobi highway on Sunday morning.
Burnt to death
Coast traffic police boss Joshua Omkatta said the accident involved two 14-seater matatus that were heading to Mombasa Town from Changamwe. The injured were rushed to Coast General hospital. Mr Omkatta warned drivers against over speeding and overloading.
“This especially applies when driving in areas designated as black spots,” said the traffic boss.
According to eyewitnesses, the matatu driver hit a pavement then rammed into another vehicle.
In Kisumu, a middle-aged man and his two children were burnt to death on Friday night.
The man, identified as Mr Jeremiah Mwanje, was an employee of Equator Bottlers. His two children, a girl and a boy, were aged 8 and 11 years respectively. Neighbours said firefighters who responded to the alarm arrived too late.
At Kaburengu trading centre near Webuye town, three people died after a collision between a truck and a motorcycle.
Webuye police chief Charles Chebet said the lorry knocked down a motorcycle operator who was ferrying a passenger towards Webuye town.
The truck then ran over a matatu conductor and plunged into the sugarcane plantation. The lorry was transporting ceramic tiles from Mombasa to Uganda. The three died on the spot.
