Kenyan Voters Complain of Parties Membership Tampering – Check Your Status

Several Kenyans have in the last few days complainedof being wrongly included in member lists of political parties submitted to the Registrar of Political Parties (RPP) after checking their records on the IEBCwebsite. Several Kenyans are complaining of being registered members of a certain political party only to find out their membership has been mysteriously been transferred to a different political party without their knowledge. Others have never registered with any political party yet their information is included in the lists of registered members submitted by various political parties to the RPP.

Marakwet East MP Linah Jebii Kilimo is one such complainant, who says she is a registered member of TNA – and has a membership card to prove this – but recently found out her membership was changed to the URP party without her knowledge. She is demanding action from the URP and the Registrar of Political Parties on how this happened
To check if you are registered with the wrong party or are associated with a political party but you have never been a registered member of any party, enter your information (Name and ID/Passport number) at the IEBC website:http://www.iebc.or.ke/rpp.

The Registrar of Political Parties advices those complains regarding their registration status to write to the political party they are registered with, and forward a copy of the letter to the Registrar of Political Parties at registrar@iebc.or.ke.
