The early morning accident caused a huge traffic along the Likoni road as Kenya Red Cross (KRC) officials rushed the injured to nearby hospitals.
According to KRC officials, the number of the deaths may rise since some of them were critically injured.
A total of 40 casualties had been evacuated by Saturday 9.00 am.
