New Ford Kenya Presidential aspirant Eugene Wamalwa has told his former ally Musalia Mudavadi that he will only support him if manages to beat Uhuru Kenyatta in the battle for the Jubilee Alliance presidential ticket. Wamalwa made the comments while addressing New Ford Kenya’s newly appointed National Elections Board. Wamalwa however added that he expects Mudavadi to reciprocate the gesture;
“I wish Mr Mudavadi well and he can count on my support if he becomes the Jubilee Alliance flag bearer," he said.
"I have also asked him to give me the same (support) and that’s my promise as brothers from the same region,” he added.
The Justice Minister reiterated that he intends to go it alone in the Presidential race;
"People have been asking whether I am joining the first or the second horse, well I am in the presidential race to the end and I will not be anyone's running mate or even take up the seat of the Speaker,” he said.
Wamalwa plans to run for the Presidency on a Pambazuko alliance ticket.
